Maria's Tortillas:2c water...1c rolled oats...1/4c sesame seeds...1/2t salt...2c unbleached flour...2c whole wheat flour...Blend first 4 til smooth...pour into bowl,add flours...knead...roll small pieces into very thin crcle...bake on a hot dry griddle for one min turn...no need for oil.

Bulgar Burger:2c bulgar or cracked wheat...2c water...1c walnuts...1/2 onion, chopped...1 garlic clove-or more...1T chicken seasoning...1 1/2t salt...Place bulgar in a saucepan...blend rest til smooth...pour over bulgar...cook over med heat for about 20 min or til thickened...stir frequently...spread evenly on a sprayed cookie sheet bake at 250 about 1 hour or til mostly dry...1 qt. freezes well.

These are from the Homestle Newstart vegetarian class I took a few years ago. Make the tortilla then put the burger on it, add fresh spinach, black beans grated cheese, salsa or fresh chopped tomatoes, yogurt, jalapenoes, pineapple, yum yum.
