finding this bulletin board

greenspun.com : LUSENET : LCIL Peer Support : One Thread

having talked to a peer support group user i think this bulletin board is difficult to find. i don't think people realise what links to follow. it is quite complex as you have to go to services on the home page, then to independent living, then scroll down to reveal the peer support group link, then click on participate in disscussion. would it not be easier to simplify the link by having the peer support group discussion link with the other links on either the home page or the services page. i think this may help people accessing this bulletin board.

I will try and remedy that. Editing the side menus is more difficult. So I will put a news item on to ront page in next couple of days with link to Peer support page. I will also talk to Jim Brynem about changing the side menus. For interest: As of yesterday morning just under 300 different computers had visited the site this Overall had included around 1600 different requests for pages of these 1600 62 had ben for the Peer Support group page. Am unsure how many people had read the discussion forum.

Maybe its just a question of time. The peer support section appears to be the 7th most popular page on the web site after the home page, services, PA jobs, Independent Living, the document downloading page, about LCILIt is noticible that most of these pages are within the Independent Living section.

The question is how we encourage others to start using the forum. If you read this but find it diffiuclt to post a reply please email peers@lothiancil.org.uk.
