Last night my husband and my son were cutting up some wood in our chicken yard to get that old yard refurbished for our chickens. Some of the wood was dead and we found termites in it. Is there any way to kill the termites and not kill ourselves when we burn the wood? I am not crazy about the idea of bringing termites up to the house.

let the chickens get them,, add them to the fire quickly,,so they dont warm up and escape,, they make wonderfull sounds in there. Like any insect,, the go dormant thru the winter, and dont move much untill warmed up
