Hello, You still accepting new people?:o)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACountryPlace : One Thread

Hi, may I join y'all? I'm a refugee from CS; scared off by the strange things going on there. We farm; I spin and weave a bit (hope to more), garden big time and make maple syrup. Recently quit my job at a hospital because I decided the expectations were ridiculous (as a supervisor I was on call 24/7)and I figured the stress was life-shortening. Oh, and I'm a Christian. So, may I stay?

Hi Rosalie, what part of Indiana are you from?

-- Cindy (SE. IN) (atilrthehony@hotmail.com), January 23, 2002.

Cindy, we're in East Central Indiana about 20 miles north of Richmond. Well yes, how about a virtual picnic for the Hoosiers. I'll bring beans baked with maple syrup (that's pure Indiana maple syrup if you please) You Indiana people attend the State Fair? We always work several days at the Sugar Shack in the Pioneer Village at the State Fair.

Hey guys! Bein's as somebody mentioned a get together---and food is always present at get togethers---and I'm a BIG DUDE who likes to eat- --can I come too? Lil Dumplin and I live in S.E. IL about 30 miles west of vincennes but she works in Indiana a lot--does that help any?

Heck, I'll even brang ole "ode", m'banjer, if that's what it takes. Maybe we can get John M to dance a jig or two! How bout it Bro? I's sang but can't carry a tune in a buket.

Been ettin chicken gruel for a couple days now and it's gettin better each day. Quit ettin red meat almost totally last month and ain't missed it any.

Healed by the Power and Might of Almighty God and still shoutin about it! Rosalie! Sure is good to see ya'll postin on here. Good folks who are a part of our extended family. Welcome! old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44

Hi Rosalie! One more Hoosier is good for most places. I like the sound of that real maple syrup, so if Hoot plays his banjo, I'll dance some. A get together would be a good thing.

I'm an RN also. I understand the frustration involved. I'm starting a new job in 2 weeks. Good to have ya around.

We're all for a get together, and John and Mildred Bunyard's place is very nice and big. Also, we're gonna have a barn re-raising next summer, accepting all volunteers, men will put doors back on and any other repairs and paint and the women folk will do the food. Not a lot of painting to be done.

Sure am interested in your maple syrup. God Bless
