Progressive Indiana

Yesterday, the Indianapolis Colts hired Tony Dungy to be head coach. There are now four blacks at bigtime coaching positions in Indiana (Dungy, Isiah Thomas at the Pacers, Mike Davis at IU basketball and Tyrone Willingham at Notre Dame football).

Blue states are so "out of touch".

Lars:

I have a lot of friends in Indiana; still, I must admit that progressive and Indiana aren't two words that I would think of using together [once I left Indianapolis or Bloomington]. I remember, from the 60's, when Time labelled the state government as the most corrupt in the country. I must admit, as far as cities go [and that isn't all that far with me], Indianapolis isn't half bad; I have had some good times there. ;o)))

Best Wishes,,,,,

Z-

Have you ever read Stanley Elkin's Van Gogh's Room at Arles? As a Prof, as a person with Indiana connections, you might find it amusing.

Progressive? Isn't Indiana where all the Neanderthals live?

Head neanderthal got kicked out & now coaching at Texas Tech.

Your speciesist slur on Neanderthals is soooo insensitive

You're right Lars, Neanderthals are not nearly as dumb as the native Indiana folks. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend the Neanderthals.
