4X5 Quickload film

I'm new to large format and have a question about Fuji's Quickload film. Do I need a special "Quickload film holder" in order to use the Quickload film? What about with Kodak's film? Thanks! Jeff dykehouse@aol.com

Jeff:

You will find extensive discussions of this in the archived questions and answers.

Simple answer... depends! Quickload works best in Fuji's holder... fewest problems. It also works well in the Polaroid holder, but that has no pressure plate to hold the film flat so there can be flatness problems (although some of my best images were shot that way... go figure!)

The compatibility of Fuji QL with various incarnations of the Kodak Readyload holder is in dispute... some work, some don't... best to use Kodak Single Sheet Readyload in Kodak's new holder
