Old Bisquick

I have some brand name: "Bisquick" that expired in 2000...

I made some chicken and dumplings with it, and they tasted awful, as if rancid. Does this happen with this stuff?

Anyway to retrieve it..that is make it palatable?

You need to look also for any little bugs in old flour and such. Sometimes they look like little black specs in your flour. Had some corn meal mix left over from Y2K and they had bugs in them too !!! Don't see this much anymore probably due to the preservatives that they put in ceral and other products now a days. Progress ??
