Soap recipe

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I received this e-mail from someone looking for a soap recipe that was posted on the forum. I have looked in all of the obvious categories but I can't find it, if anyone knows where it is or knows the recipe, could you please post it, or run the thread back up. Just answer to it and it will come back to New Answers. Thanks, Melissa

I am looking for a "laundry detergent recipe with baking soda, borax, and glycerin soap. It was in an old discussion. Actually there were quite a few recipes within that discussion and they were also talking about greywater systems. Could you please see if you could find that for me? I've lost my paper with the recipe on it."

The recipe is under Karens new area of cooking and crafts almost halfway down under homemade soaps. Does this help? I don't think that one called for glycerin though and I have used the one I just told you about for a while without the glycerin. Also I would like to add that I use vinegar in the final rinse for my towels and it gets out any left over soap. Jenn

If you need it, here's the link to the new Cooking and Craft Forum. Would love to have you all visit and give your input.

Karen, I like your forum, and I am sorry I don't have more time to contribute, maybe after the tax season crush is over!
