Who shows the fruits of the Spirit??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Christian Church (Real) : One Thread

I see great hope for this forum. On the *other forum* I saw very little fruits of the Spirit in the posts I use to read. I was called about everything imaginable. What I see as the godly purpose of ANY list or forum is to kindly ATTACK

oops again. For some reason in the middle of some of my posts the post gets sent too soon.

Now back to ATTACK. Beliefs that are not in concert with the scriptures should be pointed out, yea.....strongly. But when we attack each other, the fruits of the Spirit have left our hearts IMO.

I hope no one on this forum ever wishes to return to the other one. We need to go onward...looking up at our Lord, whom we all have a hope of spending eternity with. We probably have all been hurt. Yes! But try to compare that with the terrible things that were said about our Lord. Sometimes the only thing to do is refuse to any longer *cast pearls before the swine.* Amen...indeed, shake off the dust from our feet and go on serving the Lord God, Almighty.

My thoughts!

I agree, Nelta.

To just be in opposition to, without a positive message of one's own, is unproductive.

One can understand a reaction to the kind of abuse dished out on that 'other forum'.

But we do not want to become like they are; we want to become more like Christ, day-by-day.

May God forgive them their unChristlikeness, and may God help us to forgive and forget.

To abuse in return for abuse will not help anyone.

Blessings,

Connie is the same person who wrote in another thread:

Ah, yes, Danny Gabbard, the motherless child. (He will understand the reference). The reason I say that is because people with mothers are taught manners. Blessings,

You remember the axiom from Lord Acton: "Power corrupts and absloute power corrupts absolutely".

This ia what has happened to Danny. He has become a petty tyrant.

To all,

I agree with these ladies,we should be more fruitful, forgiving, and all around more Christlike.

To Connie,

You Said,"May God forgive them of their unChristlikeness and may God help us to forgive and forget." I agree with what you have said here, but you left something very important out. That is your need, and others on this forum, to ask Gods forgiveness for unChristlke behavior toward "them". I am not sure as to how much name calling went on over thre by ones here, but I know much of what I have read here (prior to Mark and Nelta arriving) has not in any way, shape, or form been Christlike!!!! Please consider these things.

Someone is using an ID very similar to mine and I want them to stop it:

As for being hypocritical, it seems I have come to the right place.

A hypocrite, by the way, is someone who claims to be a Christian who isn't.

Please do not hide behind someone else's ID (in this case, mine).

Connie:

Regretably, I just had to look for the first time at the administrators list to check who posted that, claiming to be you. It matches a somewhat frequent poster....for now, I'm not saying who.

If you want it removed, let me know...

TO THE COWARD WHO POSTED THAT: You claim you want to "do the right thing".....then own up to this. If not, I may just change the name on that post to reflect who really posted it. I would prefer NOT to do that....

Fruit of the Spirit indeed.....

I have forgiven the person who did that.

I sincerely try to not let the sun go down on my anger, but it seems there has been a lot of the kettle calling the pot black.

I am guilty of anger and think I may have it under control for now.

I would like to let those things which are past be past, so I am asking you to use your own judgment in the matter.

Blessings,

Connie
