Here in the DC area, it was supposed to get as high as 75 today. I'm sure it didn't, instead there was a nice cool breeze. Perfect football weather, my favorite kind of day. I wondered if today might be in contention, for nicest day of the year.

OTOH, I find it scary that the nicest day of the year might be Feb. 1, in the middle of winter.

Gee, Peter, when you live in an area (like DC) where the summers are stinking hot, then February might be a candidate. It has certainly been mild up here. I have been following the long-range forecasts and the anticipated low temperatures. We're getting past the point where there could be any brutally cold weather here.
