Tiny seed dispencer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

A tiny seed dispencer can be made of empty spice bottle, the ones the size of a spool of thread and have a rotating top. Put the seeds in, adjust the opening to desired size, clamp it in place with a strip of clear tape and go for it in a month or three!

Ah, Mitch, just when I get to wondering what you've been up to...you come up with such a grand idea. That's what I love about winter (for me anyway) - gives me time to zombie around the house discovering new uses for things (still working on that coffee can and duct tape dulcimer...).

Soni, I have been on Country Families a lot lately. Posting stories and daily brain burners; I saw a ukalayle ( I cannot spell it - Hawaiian guitar) made from a birdhouse gourd!

I plant such stuff as lettuce, radishes, mustard, etc. in 16"wide beds. I pour my seeds in a empty salt shaker and shake it back and forth over my beds. It seems to evenly dispense the seeds.
