Does anyone have the perfect ratio, Chemical to water when using DEKTOL and developing ILFORD B&W films?

Since Dektol is a print developer, it is very strong. If you want to use it as a film developer, you might start at a dilution ratio of 1+10 and experiment.

Joe, why do you want to use Dektol for film? It's likely to produce very grainy image with decreased speed even if you dilute it a lot.

There was Ilford Universal PQ developer, which I think is ID-62. Grainy speed losing film developer, and average print developer. ID-62 is not dissimilar from Dektol except it uses phenidone. With ID-62, 1+19 was suggested for FP4 for 10min at 20C.

Buy some ID-11 or D-76 and keep the Dektol for your prints.
