There are actually several mastitis vaccines. We have used successfully somota staph/lysign in jefferslivestock.com We give the shots 6 weeks before kidding and then again 3 weeks before kidding. Ours was not for staph masitis, but for enviornmental staph on the outside of the udder, dewclaws and bellies. Since using this and ID- 1 on these does we have never had it back. More than a coinincidence since we used the vaccine back in 1990 on 2 very old does who kidded with this every year in Lousianna, yet were cleared after the vaccines here. Vicki
