A bomb threat has been reported on a Delta Air Lines plane at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport, according to broadcast reports.

Flight 350 was scheduled to fly to Boston.

The flight was scheduled to leave at 8:50 a.m. It is being held for now, according to Steve Forsyth of Delta Air Lines. The plane has been pulled from service. It is being moved away from the concourse and searched. All luggage on board will have to be removed and searched, MSNBC reported.

CNN reports that a bomb threat was called in two hours before the plane was to depart Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport.

No passengers are on board the plane, which has been moved from the concourse.

As is protocol, Delta cannot confirm what the nature of the threat is, Forsyth said. But he did confirm that there was a security-related incident.

Security scare at Atlanta airport Delta 767 removed off concourse for search

Feb. 8 — Authorities were searching a Delta Air Lines 767 at the nation’s second busiest airport Friday, after a bomb threat was phoned in.

FLIGHT 350 was to have left for Boston at 8:10 a.m. local time, but was moved off the concourse and to a secure area where law enforcement authorities were investigating.

Delta spokesman Steve Forsyth described it as a security- related incident. “We haven’t confirmed it was a bomb threat,” he told MSNBC Cable.

But an airport spokeswoman said it was a bomb threat and that it had been called in by phone. “There was a threat called in and police are searching the plane,” she said.

Passengers had not boarded the flight when it was scrubbed and the rest of Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport remains open.

Passenger luggage was being searched as well.
