Some non-Catholic congregations celebrate a feast of St. Cyril of Alexandria on this day. But Catholics, as noted here, remember St. Cyril on June 27.

"Some non-Catholic congregations celebrate a feast of St. Cyril of Alexandria on this day."

Are you saying that those who observe the old calendar and the traditional Latin Mass with the support of their bishop and the pope are non-Catholic? You owe them an apology for the name-calling.

It will be a frigid day in Hades before I apologize for respecting the Church's liturgical calendar, Nick. Read what my post actually says, not what you wish to "read into" it. If anyone owes an apology, it is you, Nick, for you have not ever contributed a single positive and helpful post to the forum. You have been nothing but a rabble-rouser thus far, and I recommend that the moderators delete all your messages. Stop damaging the saints-of-the-day threads, please.

Late in 2003 and early in 2004, Pope John Paul II beatified sixteen servants of God. The following one was assigned this calendar day for yearly commemoration.

Bl. Eusebia Palomino Yenes of Cantalpino (Spanish, religious sister of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, died at age 35 in 1935 [beatified 2004])
