No-good Maryland Democrats

They have done their redistricting to get rid of eight term Republican Congresswoman Connie Morella, who represented mainly Montgomery County, where I lived until this summer. I always liked Connie a lot. In spite of a Democratic Party advantage in voter registration in the county of about 2 to 1, she always won handily until the last election. In that election, instead of attacking her record on trifles (as previous Democratic candidates had done) the Democrat nearly won by saying that Connie Morella is a nice lady but she's a Republican.

Now, with the redistricting disadvantage, it looks as if Connie is going to retire. She hasn't raised much money, as against her probable opponent Mark Shriver. Too bad, the lady has both brains and courage.
