Is this the Samaritans?

OH MY GOD!!!!!!! I'm sitting here, pretending to do some work. Instead I keep looking at the fixture list on my wall telling me that IF we win ALL of our fixtures we will win the league. It is also telling me that we have to play Makems, Arsenal and Liverpool next.

Now of course I've known this all along but somehow it's just dawning on me. Alongside this realisation that 'it's all in our hands' is the fact that the memories of standing at Ewood Park in 1996 seeing that git Fenton from Whitley Bay put 2 spawny goals past us, along with the horror of that 4 - 3 defeat at Anfield, have scarred me for life. AND we still have to go to both of those places! In fact not only do the team have to go there, SO DO I!

I can't bloody stand this I really can't. I need some counselling.

Yes, but we were supposed to win that season while this time we just have to console ourselves with the fact that we are going to win it ;-)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. That helps a bit Softie but I'm still having an anxiety attack. Maybe it's my hormones!

Don't worry, Lynda, the loss that makes the difference will come when we play Derby, with Lee getting a hat trick and Barton scoring the winner in injury time.

Nothing like a good shot of mindless pessimism to ward off any feelings of premature optimism. ;-))

Thanks for the wake up call Ciara! Of course that away trip to Southampton is a touch worrying as well.

The away trip to Soton is always a worry...especially if the last few season's antics are anything to go by!

Just where is this place we're going to Gav? Oh, just up the road...ok then...doh!

booked you a taxi did he Bobby? ;-)

Anyway, my tuppenceworth: whatever happens we'll have had a cracking season - totally unexpected, thoroughly enjoyable and will be eager to see the progress next season.

there's a lot of football to be played whatever happens over the next 3 league games. we're not beaten so let's not defeat ourselves before we've even played eh?!

I know the title would be a watershed, but it's not everything, either. I'd rather we were a fixture in the CL, than win the title and it go to our heads and end up mid-table again.

I like the way YBR seems to be thinking long-term.
