Ok, I'm mixed up again

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Christian Church (Real) : One Thread

Please tell me who started this forum. Is it BLAH BLAH or the person whose emai at the bottom of the posts. Does it matter? It does to me because If I am in the midst of those who believe once saved always saved instead of those who believe that Acts 2:38ff means what it says then I will kindly step out of the forum with no hard feelings.

Thanks,

Nelta

So what you are saying is, you would rather follow ONE verse of scripture and build a COMPLETE doctrine and belief structure around that, VS taking the WHOLE counsel of the Word of God?

You would have to define "once saved always saved". From God's viewpoint or our own?

Nelta, Isn't it possible, even likely, for some to beleive in both "once saved always saved" and have a correct understanding of Acts 2:38? Why would these be mutually exclusive?

To John,

Yes, it would be possible. I mixed up two thoughts there, didn't I? Usually, however, the ones I know who believe once you are saved you will always be saved, also believe you are saved before Christ adds you to His body Acts 2, before your sins are washed away.

Thanks John, for the opportunity to make my statement clearer.
