REPUBLICAN WILLAM COIT ANNOUNCES AGENDA FOR HISPANIC-AMERICANS

William Coit announced today his agenda for Hispanic-Americans in the 108th Congress. "I believe that elected officials and candidates for public office are not in touch with their Hispanic constituency. My campaign will reach out and extend my support to issues that directly affect the Hispanic community. I will focus on two areas of greatest concern.

1. Naturalization Process 2. Economic Education

The Naturalization Reform Act - A bill to remove the barriers that prevent Hispanics from becoming American citizens.

First, I would reduce the application process from 4 pages to 1 page.

Second, I would lower the processing fee from $250 to $100.

Third, I would place a cap on the waiting period for citizenship at 6 months. If the application is not completed in 6 months, the $100 application fee is refunded.

The Hispanic Financial Literacy Act - A bill to provide one-stop community based financial education programs.

This bill will help Hispanics acquire economic assets and expand the number of Hispanics in the middle-class. Some of the courses that will be offered are homeownership, applying for credit, starting a business, purchasing stocks and bonds, etc.

William Coit said, "the Hispanic population is more than 35 million citizens and as a Republican we can no longer ignore this voting block."

William Coit is a candidate for congress in district 13. It includes portions of Gwinnett, Rockdale, Walton, Clayton, Butts, Newton, Spalding, Fulton, Fayette, Dekalb, and Henry counties. For more information, go to http://www.williamcoit.com.
