Jersey Cross Springing Heifer For Sale (Cattle - Dairy)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I have a Jersey/Gelvieh (dual-purpose breed) heifer I would like to find a good home for. She was bred to an Angus and is within days of calving. Already bagged up - larger than a beef, but won't be anywhere near as large as her purebred Jersey mom. A fairly gentle animal, but hasn't been handled much and would need to be halter and milk stall trained. That's shouldn't be difficult if you gave her sweet feed at that time.

Last week long-bred Angus heifers went at an auction for $850 to $1,050. She wouldn't have brought that much due to the dairy blood in her. I'm asking $650 for her (and calf when it comes), you haul.

I am located near Waverly (West-central TN about halfway between Nashville and Jackson and about 12 miles north of I-40.)
