It's a nice forum, nicely set up and easy to use. I liked it. Hope people get to know about it, but, seems you are not allowed to talk about other forums-unless I read the rules wrong.

Having said that, I hope it works out, I'll visit when I can.

Huh, you arent allowed to talk about other forumns on this one?? Seems like, since Countryside was going to pull up stakes (or did??) we have every incentive and right to talk about other forumns- AFTER ALL that would certainly be classified as "homestead information" as long as the forumn is about homesteading. I would think that rule is awfully restrictive!

Well. That burst that bubble. Seems they have that rule in the pipes, also. "advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, referrals to other Forums of a similar nature and solicitations are inappropriate on CountryBound.com." I hate it when they limit my freedom.

I talk to darn much, and apologise, I see the drift of the post now. Duh. This whole deal has got me with blurred vision.

Rules? Where are they listed. The only thing I recall is when you start a new thread (ask question) it that you see if it was already asked, and then maybe even put it on another forum which they name..It would make sense if there was money involved about mentioning other forums or if they were a diiferent topic. But this is for information, which all homesteaders and Countrysiders could use. Let's face it if we new all the answers, we wouldn't need the forums. I don't plan to abandon this one, but I read all different forums related to country living. Dave

Kevin, don't worry your eyes will recover soon, I feel the same way, too much reading lately.

Dave, on the countyrbound page go to forums and then read the introduction, the rules are there.

Dave in Ohio, on the intro page for Country Bound it states "Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, referrals to other Forums of a similar nature and solicitations are inappropriate on CountryBound.com." It's unclear whether they mean you can't recommend other country related forums on CountryBound.com. That's what the other posts are talking about not the rules for THIS (Countryside) forum.

Hey guys - Sorry about all that. As the person that started countybound.com (just over a week ago), I used some boiler plate "rules." After CarolK pointed the hypocrisy out, I took out that whole section.

The point for countrybound.com is information sharing. I invite any appropriate posts, suggestions, Web links, etc. about "moving to the country topics." The LAST thing I want are more rules. Believe me.

Thanks to all the recent visitors. I hope to learn a lot from you all.

Mike

Mike,

thanks for clearing that up, it was a little confusing. Love the countrybound forum and I hope it does well. All you countrysiders need to visit.

Thank you Mike.

When I went there I wanted to register, but don't know if it is because I have webtv on not, but all I could see on the reg. form was the blank lines, but not WHAT to put where. Is it just me?
