Planet X is back!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Hello Folks,

Planet X is back in the news. The scientists, this time have actually photograph it and have determined that it is not part of our solar system as once thought. It is believed to be part of another solar system and that planet x is the furthermost planet. It is presently as close as it usually comes, (about every 144,000 years) to our planet Pluto.

Whenever I hear about planet X, I think of a series of books that I read several years ago, written by a man named Zacheriah Stitchin. The first book was the most interesting and was called, The Thirteenth Planet. Mr. Stitchin explains that at one time this planet X may had come so close to earth that it actually scraped against it. This is a possiblility as planet X orbits in the opposite directions as our planets do and this could also explain the belt of meteors that are between us and the planet Mars.

Anyway, he talks about this scraping of the two planets may have caused the beginnings of life here. He also says that the inhabitants on planet X may have been advanced enough to have not only survived this assault but, may of even attempted space travel enough to explore the evolution of our planet as planet X circled around again and came close to our solar system. His explainations of our religions and how they evolved could have been based on these very events.

He explains that their last visit was approximately 144,000 years ago. They were believed to have left because of an anticipated world flood caused by the polar caps thawing. Could we expect another visit from them soon?

I know that many people are skeptical about the existence of life on other planets and many more are skeptical of the possibility that they may have be responsible for creating life on this planet. But, wouldn't it be a real HOOT if it was true?

Imagine the impact it would have on all the world religions to find out that their God was actually a space alien! Imagine the whole world finally once and for all would know the truth about man's existence.

My religious views are not too far from these beliefs but, I know that many of you out there would strongly disagree and would think this type of belief was inconceiveable in a society that offers a handful of dieties and messiahs of which most religions are based around. But, with current events the way they are it is exciting to know that planet X is close by. Just as we all know that the Second Coming of Christ is near at hand too. But, the uniqueness of BOTH events running parallal to each other is the most interesting fact for us all!

Whatever the outcome of near future events will be, we will just have to wait and see. Finally!

Sincerely,

Ernest

Sincerely, Ernest

Oh Ernest! You think too much!!!! (Said in the kindest way possible.)

What if God is the space "alien"????

I know people come up with all of these thoughts and theories and sometimes it is fun to speculate on what if??? I for one do not think there is anything in the Bible to say there isn't life on other planets somewhere. We often wonder, what if God did create another Earth the same time he made this one, BUT they did everything right??? They probably show videos of us to their kids to show them what NOT to do! Ha, Ha...

There are many things I do not know, but there is one that I hold onto with absolutely no doubts. God is real, HE is REAL. He has a plan, he cares about us, even when we don't feel it, and he sent his son to teach us about his plan. He is still teaching us today. He is teaching us to have FAITH, and faith is what I hold onto. As I told my kids recently, people who don't believe in God, have many quesions of WHY, why, why... Why about everything...

But people who do believe have only one, how did God get here? So I keep my faith and have only one question, which I may get an answer to some day, and people who don't believe have a million questions which will never be satisfied.

So I really don't worry too much about tomorow, just do the best I can with today, tomorrow will have worries enough of it's own. I just keep believing and I put it all in the hands of the one who has the plan!

Now will I regret leaving this thread??? I hope not, as it is interesting...

Well, this is interesting-I had a high school teacher that talked about this so who knows? I had heard about planet x before as a possable "missing" planet but not of the "scraping" between these two planets.

Where did you find the picture of Planet X, I would love to see it. I have been interested in astronomy for over 40 years, but have never heard of this new planet being discovered. Planet X years ago referred to Pluto before it was discovered in 1930.

It seems unlikely that two planets could "scrape" without the destruction of one or both of them, especially two planets the size of the earth or larger. The gravitational and tidal energy would be tremendous to say the least. The would be ripped apart according to the laws of physics.

Also how could anything survive on a planet that has a 144,000 year orbit in deep space nowhere near any source of energy (star). The temperature on the planet would be only slightly above absolute zero. I don't think anything alive could survive in that environment.

"They left when the polar caps started to melt". Is their planet a spaceship or what? A planet does not just leave when the occupants want it to.

Very interesting theory, but not too plausible in reality. Thanks for the thought provoking idea though Ernest.

Talk to you later.

There is no such thing as "thinking too much" :) Usually people don't think enough!

Well said Buffy! I will differ a bit though, as I know some people who can think something to death, and never really get anything done. Not related to you Ernest, as I know you get a lot done. I was on your site last night and your house looks good!

Speaking strictly as someone never accused of thinking to much - Klatuu, Veratas, Niktoe!

Well planet x is the size of jupiter and comes into our solar system every 3600 years next yr is the 3600 year i ve heard that planet x is going to come in between earth and the sun x will pulls us into it because of its gravity this well cause great changes for 3 days tidals will be very high reaching 1 mile high and many earthquakes will happen every were on earth and if u are between i think 200 or 100 mile of the ocean u will be drowned by the tidal waves this well happen in may for 3 days but if u do not see planet x in the sky in jan this will not happen but if u do this will happen so be prepared and if u can see planet x see if it can fill the sky

I'm a very religious person, i believe that planet x is an answer to many question that have baffled millions of people for thousands of years, may be even more. I believe that opinions sometimes can become the truth, our society depends on opinions and thoughts. if this planet x does exist, than we're in alot of trouble, cause some may see it as an answer to the questions of life, but others my see it as a threat instead. Our world has trived on all kinds of questions and on finding the answers, that is how we've benifit from research of/and inventions to solve problems to answer question. now imagine this planet x coming along, what if it didn't destroy all of man kind due to the gravitational pull of this planet if not both planets. All questions of life would finally be answered. Would that planet x be the heaven described in the imfamous bible, which also says that all who believe in god shall not perish but have eternal life and live with god himself in that heaven. from my opinion, what that tells me is that when planet x comes and if our god is on that planet then he will take all who believes with on planet x and leave the rest to burn or be damned for eternity right here on earth, but thats just my opinion.
