Interested in buying Highland Cattlegreenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
I was wondering if anyone might be able to give me an idea on prices for highland calves. Furthermore if anyone has any for sale I'm planing to buy in a couple of months and would be interested hearing from you. I'm not necessarily wanting show quality stock but I do want quality. I'm in SE KY and I'd like to hear from producers within a reasonable distance. Thanks

I live in NE IN, a ways from you. Registered Highlands tend to be pricey. If you are looking for unregistered that would bring down the price. You can view my website at http://www.agdomain.com/web/nnf/

Funny you should ask... I am getting my gal this weekend! a bred, blue, 6 year old. Hoping to tame her down to a milker (wish me luck!).There is a guy here in North Dakota that has them. Very knowledgable on them. Been raising them for many, many years (before many had ever heard of them!)

There are many breeders in Middle TN. There is also the Highland Asso. website that lists breeders by state (that's where I found my 3 cows). If you can't find one, I can put you in touch with someone. Good Luck!
