Quote of the day (for thinking & reflecting upon)

If a man is alone in the garden and speaks, and there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong? (unknown)

Yes he is wrong. Here is another one. If a man or woman leaves a stupid post on countryside, that has nothing to do with homesteading, is he still wrong. What sub catagory do we put stupid posts under? Is there a Trash archive? Go to a chat room if you just need to speak.

-- who cares (whocare@getalife.com), February 21, 2002.

I am sorry, that was rude of me.

-- who cares (whocare@getalife.com), February 21, 2002.

All I can say to "who cares" is, you ought to know.

Little Bit Farm

Tom, I have been here for about 2/3rds of the life of this place, I appreciate your input, know I can open your threads without exspecting any static, and think of you as one of the pillars of this forum. Keep them comming.

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), February 21, 2002.

I appreciate you too Tom and as for your quote, Yes he is still wrong. LOL! Thanks for the posts.

-- cowgirlone in OK (cowgirlone47@hotmail.com), February 21, 2002.

I look for "qoute Of The Day" everyday. Thanks Tom for sharing them.

-- george nh (rcoopwalpole@aol.com), February 21, 2002.

Dear Tom,

I'm so sorry someone felt the need to be so rude to you. Please forgive them. How could they know how much so many of us look forward to your quotes? I go to your quotes before anything else. Always a day-brightener.

Wishing you enough.

P.S. To answer your question, dear Tom. Of course he's still wrong! Duh!

-- Trevilians (aka Dianne in Mass) (Trevilians@attbi.net), February 21, 2002.

I am sorry if i was rude. I was rude. This is not the social life forum. Its a homesteading, country, gardening and goats forum. I don't mind the recipes but, lets stick to country stuff. Why do certain people (like mitch) think that we care what they think. They like to see themselves talk I guess. They think they own the forum. They do not. I really don't need a daily stumper or anything to reflect on. I do need to know how to raise rabbits as i have a new rabbit hutch.

-- i decline (forgiveme@please.org), February 21, 2002.

THEN WHY DID YOU CLICK ON THIS THREAD THEN?????! Pities sakes alive! If you don't want to read the thing, leave it alone. As for me and my house....I ALWAYS READ THE QUOTE FOR THE DAY! Thanks Tom for taking the time. Even the Farmer's Almanac has interesting little notes here and there! I am usually very patient with people, don't know what came over me. But good grief folks......OH....Of course he is still wrong, but if the woman happens to find out....She better not tell him that he is! LOL!

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), February 21, 2002.

To "who cares & i decline" which I assume is all in the same person, PEACE!!!! and if you are new here you can find a chock full of information on rabbits under the "older messages" section at the bottom of the threads or if any new info is needed please post any questions you may have, and I am sure that the kind folks here will be more then helpful.

-- TomK(mich) (tjk@cac.net), February 21, 2002.

Tom, The answer is no, he isn't wrong just confused. Just like our little troll or what ever it is.

-- Susan in Minnesota (nanaboo@paulbunyan.net), February 21, 2002.

Wow Tom, that was a good thing that you did! I apologize too for losing patience with who cares....heehee! That sounds funny doesn't it. Anyway....I should have been more patient. Maybe I should switch to de-caf!? :~)!

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), February 21, 2002.

dftt - don't feed the trolls

-- B. Lackie - Zone3 (cwrench@hotmail.com), February 21, 2002.

I think it depends on what he says,.....he may well be right,....

...out there in the garden ALONE with no witness to prove it....

it could happen.....

[I'm laughing, the more I think about it the funnyer it gets....]

-- Thumper/inOKC (slrldr@yahoo.com), February 21, 2002.

Nan, don't feel bad. I had composed a post to say basically the same thing you did but came back to check if there were any new posts first. There was, so I didn't. :o)

Thanks, TomK. I really enjoy your insightful and often timely quotes.

-- Bren (wayoutfarm@skybest.com), February 21, 2002.

Oh No Thumper! If he is right.....and it COULD happen indeed.....Would we ever let him know it? Now THAT is a STUMPER THUMPER! heeheehee! Got me giggling too now! heeheehee!:~D

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), February 21, 2002.

Oh....Bren Thanks! Thumper got me giggling!

-- Nan (davidl41@ipa.net), February 21, 2002.

Just think about, how he could try to explain how he was right,...

..when he was out there by himself......how could he be sure?

My husband often tells me how stuff made sense at the time, then I have to remind him of something he forgot about,.... then I get to hear, "Augggh, ...just hush, woman,..," I've learned to giggle really quiet.

-- Thumper/inOKC (slrldr@yahoo.com), February 21, 2002.

This is the 3rd time someone referred to Mitch, and the stumpers which are not even posted here on this forum. That is why I started country Families forum, so we could discuss children, recipes, social issues and items not directly related to homesteading.

-- Melissa in SE Ohio (me@home.net), February 21, 2002.

What if instead of wondering if he is wrong, the man simply enjoys the peace and quiet.

-- Jay Blair in N. AL (jayblair678@yahoo.com), February 21, 2002.

Jay, I think the woman would enjoy the peace and quiet of him being in the garden just as much. So they are both right as long as they stay in their respective places!

-- Susan in Minnesota (nanaboo@paulbunyan.net), February 21, 2002.

All evidence says it's a troll. Not as rude as they are unsubstantiatable.

This thread applies to homesteading when it applies to homestading.

Tom, keep up the thought provoking quotes.

-- Rick in Southwest WV (Rick_122@hotmail.com), February 21, 2002.

Mystery poster, there has never been a stumper posted here, there only on Country Families, and yes, your server has been notified.

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), February 21, 2002.

Anonymous, I think you've been outvoted. If you have anything constructive to say, please do, If you're just here to take anonymous pot shots, get lost. Hecklers don't impress anyone.

The rest of you guys, if you don't acknowledge the trolls, they won't have a reason to keep the banter going.....

-- Chuck (reply@mission4me.com), February 22, 2002.

What anom. said was rude. I do think some of the posts are unnecessary or already been asked and answered. I do wonder why people answer posts and don't have a answer. Why answer if it is only negative critisism.

-- sorrysorry (sorrry@sorry.com), February 22, 2002.

I have thought like that Mostly after a hard afternoon of working in the wine room racking my brains out LOL right wrong mumble in the garden and work fast then back to the wine room...were the real work is
