Last call for "How we Homeschool Ideas"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

It was suggested that I compile all my "How we Homeschool" threads and send it into Countryside. I would like to do this before planting time, so if you would like to contribute any ideas, please go to the Homeschooling category and click on any of my threads that interest you. I will probably be pulling it all together by the end of March.

I am so confused about homeschooling, we just kind of work on whatever I think they are ready for. I really am no good at this, but I do try. My 6 year old is adding single digit number colums and two digit numbers. ( like: 22+34=56 ) So I must not be doing to bad, I still worry though.

First time homeschoolers do have a habit of worrying too much. I know I did. I felt like I had to prove something, that if my son failed, that meant I had failed. You are probably doing better than you think.

Hi CathyN. I just found this group. I am trying to create an online resource for people who are thinking about moving to the country (it seems like most Web sites are for people already there). I actually created a section for homeschooling, because I think it is a very important topic.

I would invite you to visit and feel free to post any useful content in the "Going to school" section or the other areas if you want :-)

Thanks.
