I have recently moved to an area that I don't think has ever heard of knitting. I can't find yarn anywhere other than Walmart and at this Walmart they only carry a very very small selection of your typical baby and acrylic worsted yarn. I have been looking on the internet but it seems every place is high on yarn. If you live out like I do and not near a big city, where do you get yours?

I think that I posted this before, but my friend Kate Henderson sells wool yarn at very reasonable prices on her website. The web address is www.sheepyvalley.com. Very nice color selection and very good prices. Kate posts on Countryside occasionally, but I haven't seen her here. Hope no one minds if this is a repeat post.

When I did buy yarn I would Buy from the Bemidji Wollen Mills. I'm lucky because I live near Bemidji. They have a catalog and do mail order. I don't know if they have a web site but they might. They have their own brand of wool, Brown Sheep company, Lopi, and a few acrylics and cottons. They also sell wonderful clothes, blankets and fibers for hand spinners. Their prices are the best I have seen. I will look for an 800 number and web site.
