Hi everyone, There is this really nice 5 acreas for sale across the road, And a Gentleman was standing there, and I went to fence and asked if he was my new nieghbor? When he came closer, I saw he had a ring on every finger, and gold chains around his neck, and one was a heavy gold chain with a cross of Jesus, And it was at least 3 inches long. My first thought was, whoa is the man going to live across the street from me![ Forgive me Lord for the evil thought} We started talking, and some how we got on religion, Of course all the time I was stareing at this huge cross. I asked him who he thought Jesus was? and he said[ He was a very intelligent man for his day, And I said of course he was,he was the Son Of God. The gentleman just said he was glad to meet me, and left. Well, wondering what what that conversation was all about, I put it out of my mind, Yesterday the real estate person, was putting up a new sign, and I asked if the man had decided not buy the property, And she said [ Didn"t I know, He was hit by a lumber truck and was killed] Now I wish I had said more to him about Jesus, I really let the Lord down. I am going to ask you all, who do you think Jesus was, I really pray I will do better next time.God Bless

The guy was wearing a cross, so chances are he was a christian. Jhn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jhn1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, and as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth. Math1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and shell call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Quoted from Isa 7:14 G1694 strongs= God with us. I think you did fine.! When one meets someone the first time,( Fishing) one does does not fish throwing a anchor. Just a little bait. Only God can make those seeds of truth grow. If you throw anchors people will think your nuts.

Hi Irene

You proclaimed Jesus Christ the Son of God. You did fine. You could be my neighbor anytime.

Our job is to present, not convince. You presented, he left, it was his decision. God Bless you.

Irene, I know how you feel...I, too, have felt that way at times over what I perceived were missed opportunities. Yes, Jesus Christ IS the Son of God. We also believe that God is sovereign, he knows what he is doing, and is in control of all that happens. You did what you could; you just have to leave the rest in HIS hands. As to whether the man was saved, I can't say one way or another. But according to 1 John 2:22-23, anyone who denies the deity of Christ is counted as an unbeliever.

You did not force him to leave, any more than you could have forced him to stay. He made his choice. You just have to go on and keep "sowing the seed" with others, praying that the Lord will bring fruit from it.

Irene, God used YOU to to offer this man one last chance to make a choice. Perhaps he had never heard that Jesus is Lord before.

Perhaps your words gave him some serious thought in his last hours and we will not know the personal choice this man made in his last hours.

Irene! Seems to me that you did what was/is required of all Christians. You witnessed to the man. Probably any more intense preachin would've turned'm completely off. It's not our job to judge- -only witness. The Word says that "His word would not return void". Take your mind off him and look forward. If I thought about the missed opportunities to witness, the times I neglected to even mention Him or the "slack" moment when a sinner saw me actin a fool--- I'd never get any rest. In my opinion-you did great. God Bless. Old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44

Irene..you witnessed, proclaimed that Jesus was the Son of God..its my thinking that you did good! You planted the seeds..that is what we are for. Its up to God when and if they take hold and grow..right? Heck Irene, the man may have been thinking your words over when he died..you did good. I am like the others who could kick themselves for lost opportunities..you did not miss the opportunity when you had the chance.
