Making Herbal Teas

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Style Homesteading : One Thread

After reading the post by Phil about making your own herb capsules (herb info), I thought some of you might be interested in making your own tea bags. I know several companys carry these, but I get my bags from Nichols Garden Nursery Nichols Under their cooking and preserving area, they sell tea bags that you fill with your favorite herb, and iron shut. I like to add homemade mint sugar to some of mine. These are easy to use, you can fill and seal several at a time. Best wishes!

NEAT!!! I have all my granny's old tea balls etc., but these would be great for traveling.

I have some of those and they work great. I also have some that are about the size of a 3x5 index card which I use in a gallon jug to make sun tea. I think that I got them from Magestic Mountain Sage, but just about any place that carries soapmaking supplies has them.
