Have you tried crate training? It worked great for my SP! Keep her in her crate most of the time, at certain intervals, say every 2hrs, take her outside for potty. Then you can have supervised playtime. Back in the crate she goes til next time. After a few weeks, the out- of-the-crate time can be extended, little by little, but always take her immediately outside when she gets out of the crate. Most dogs will never soil their crates, because they consider it their "den". Good luck! :)
