This is the first time I have even been to this forum. I didn't realize there was a christian based forum on here-PTL. I'm 39-single mom to Erica-12(going on 25) and Emily-11(going on 2). We have been christians for 7 years now and attend a holy ghost filled assembly of about 100-these folks are more like family that the blood relations. We currently live in town for economics but we are making plans all the time. We will move in God's will.We do what we can here in town. I'm learning new things all the time. The biggest challenge when we do get moved will be the livestock. I'm blessed to have found this sight-In Christ Karen

Don't think I've introduced myself on this forum. I just sort-of jumped in and pretended I belonged. I've been on CS in the past and one other forum but it didn't seem to be very active. We farm in central IN, make maple syrup, homeschooled our youngest child (22 now but living at home, working and going to college) and do a lot of "homesteady"-type things; spinning, weaving, chickens, garden a LOT, can, freeze, dry, make soap, etc.

I'm thoroughtly enjoying this forum and it's Christian emhasis. Good job, Melissa.

I've lurked here for a little while and have really enjoyed it. Love the Christian emphasis. We live in central Indiana and homeschool. We raise much of our food and raise Dexter cattle, dairy goats, sheep, chickens,Tamworth pigs, Muscovy ducks and rabbits. We also usually have a good size garden. Thanks for such a great forum.

Hi everyone. I have been "lurking" here for a while. I am a high school teacher, wife, mother to a 9 year old daughter and 15 year old son, and a Christian. I enjoy reading your posts very much. We live in a rural area in South Carolina on 2 acres. I love reading about your homesteading activities. You give me lots of good ideas!

Hoot-I'm in No. IL about 11 mi East of Dixon-I live in town for now -I live in a church owned building so my pastor tailored the rent to suit my single mother budget. Can't afford to move at this time espec with the unsteady economy. I contract privately with the state to do specialized care with mentally handicapped adults in my area and til the new state budget comes out I am kind of on pins and needles as to wether or not I even ave a job after June. One thing I know God will provide.Karen
