Firewire to Premiere w/transitions & filters to VCD/VHSgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread |
Right now, to make a vcd, I capture via DC30+ as MJPEG-AVI; edit in Adobe Premiere to put transitions & filters; render it (only filters & transitions via Miro Instant Video); make movie (avi file); encode to VCD MPEG1 format and burn it via Nero for VCD; or output the edited avi directly to VCR for VHS. I plan to buy a firewire card and capture as DV. if I edit in Premiere using the program's filters & transitions, do I need to render it still? Will the rendering be longer assuming I put the same transitions & filters as from the above. What are the so-called real time transitions & filters? Are they hardware-dependent? When coverting to VCD format, is there an encoding software from dv to mpeg1 (vcd) or will I make movie from dv to avi via premiere? If I want to output to VHS, can the edited video in dv format in premiere be output directly to VHS?
