What a beautiful Day

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I noticed when I fed the animals that it seemed to be an unusually beautiful morning. The moon was still shining through the trees and now the sun is outdoing itself. I went for a walk around the ponds way back yonder of our house. I was hoping to find pussy willow, but there was none. But I did gather some moss and sweet gum balls and a couple other things. Five of our cats went along.

I think I'll try a new recipe for honey graham crackers and enjoy the rest of the day. Hope you do the same. God Bless

Cindy, it's a beautiful day here too. Well, the sun is shining, and IMHO, that always makes for a beautiful day! Being raised on the coast, I'm not so fond of wet weather, but I'm trying to learn to be happy with that when we get it also. Not very successfully, I might add, but I'm working on it. (Thanks, Lord, for this lovely rainy, mucky, cold, wet, windy day....NOT) As I said, I'm still working on the attitude.

It has been cold here. Yesterday it was spitting snow off and on and this morning it was all of 12 degrees or so when I got up. But somehow I can tolerate about anything as long as there's a little sunshine now and then. We had most of our snowfall early this winter and the ground has since been bare most of the time. Some days it feels so much like spring, and I am just really getting antsy to be outdoors more. I love being outside with my animals.

The graham crackers are good. They don't taste a thing like graham crackers, but they're good cookies. And they're made very heathily:~}. Probably why they don't taste like graham crackers. Think I'll put some homemade strawberry jam on them and make little sandwich cookies.

Well I wish I could say it was a great day, but raining, and windy, and cold. I walked the dogs in field with a umbrella, And begged them to hurry up and do there business. Tom and I have been working a kinkade jigsaw puzzle, I have stackes of them, and if any one is interested, send me a E mail, and I will mail a couple of boxes at a time to you. The darn things cost 8.00 dollars at wall mart,And through a puzzle catalog a lot more. I made spanish rice for supper, with a salad, and now will settle in for evening.
