Hi, I am running a production database on Win 2k and have a standby database on Win 2k as well. Anyway, I want to upgrade the primary datbase to 8.1.7.

I am having trouble finding out how to upgrade an oracle databae from 8.1.6 to 8.1.7 with as little downtime as possible...

Is there a straightforward way to upgrade from oracle 8.1.6 to oracle 8.1.7. I can't seem to find any documentation online that deals exclussively with migrating on NT. Thanks..

hi, u can upgrade ur DB by 3 ways, 1. using export & import 2. using utilities 3.using DBCA

usibg DBCA u can upgrade ur DB easily.
