Uh oh. I made three CDs. Never make tapes anymore. So what was on'em? One had Belgian Musick (ranging from synth pop to no wave rock). dEUS, Kiss My Jazz and Evil Superstars are the only worth getting excited about. CD two was mainly Bristol music: PopGroup, Neneh Cherry, Rip Rig & Panic, Massive Attack. Closer was Prince with Pop Life. Third CD was zeee best: opener was Flipper (life's the only thing worth living for... eat that Nietzsche), then there was This Kind of Punishment, Peter Laughner, X, Basehead, Nurse with wound, Clever white Oldie Marc Ribot, Basehad,... The usual shit, I guess. Closer was Yoko Ono flushing a toilet.

-- helenfordsdale (helenfordsdale@yahoo.com), March 03, 2002.

-- di (ladydie6@hotmail.com), March 03, 2002.

-- duane (doorag@eudoramail.com), March 03, 2002.

Oh yeah, send me your mailing address. (Keep in mind: that helenfordsdale@yahoo.com address has been destroyed.) You'll have to wait a while since I am the WORST slacker (or is that best?) in the world. Do you have This Heat? If not, I can burn ya a copy of Deceit on top of Chance Meeting.

(3) well, right now there're a couple of things I got half finished. the stylus badly needs replacing on my turntable, so Susan Lindsey is waiting on some tapes of a couple of jazz LPs from me (Human Arts Ensemble, dif' from the one DZ taped for me above, + Julius Hemphill + some other stuff - Sam Rivers and something else), and 'Wallace Prince of Eagles' as he calls himself on Psychedelica (the Yahoo group) is also waiting for some stuff. not sure which tape I most recently made for Duane?

-- Jon Bywater (jbywater@unitec.ac.nz), March 15, 2002.

i made a tape for petra jane. i can't remember exactly what it had on it. but it had stuff by mostly women. there was lotsa 60's girl groups, plus some bratmobile, the slits, a bit of janet jackson, the pointer sisters, the divinyls, pj harvey, patsy cline, 5,6,7,8's, the MURDERING MONSTERZ (god i am self-indulgent), err, can't remember the rest. i also made a tape for duckling, which had on side A: Le Tigre's Feminist Sweepstakes then "Shoplifting" and "FM" by the Slits, then on Side B it had Bratmobile's Pottymouth, then a few tracks from PJ Harvey's 4track Demos rekkid. god, that makes me sound like some kinda female separatist.

-- di (ladydie6@hotmail.com), March 16, 2002.

this one's for petra j., i hope she likes it. i am still having tape deck trouble, sorry (to the people who i owe tapes to i mean)

-- national dust (doorag@eudoramail.com), May 28, 2002.

i aint really in this thing and also i aint a gonna answer THE question but i just want to say something about the legacy of pat faigan tapes and how they seem to float around the world and how you can never keep a hold of them cos someones always gonna rip em off you, for example the other day when i got in my brothers car and he was listening to the headcoats and he asked "is this your tape?" and i mumbled something back cos i was on pot but i was thinking at the same time oh yeah this is the pat tape that i stole off .... anyway my bro would never listen to that shit usually but he was really diggin it so......

-- my full name (s.oreilly@eudoramail.com), June 06, 2002.

hey sean! you shd make a tape for me. put some brigitte fontaine on it.

-- (doorag@eudoramail.com), June 11, 2002.
