A comment on Jenas

A friend of mine with bad taste in who he supports was at the game last Sunday. He commented that he could tell Jenas was used to playing first division football. He could see, however, that he is definitely going to be an excellant player. Oh and he finished off with 'you bastards'.

After watching him yesterday he certainly didn't look out of place and was certainly one of our better players on the pitch. Speed was a different matter and I feel that with somebody better next to him they could have got hold of the midfield yesterday.

I thought Jenas was excellent, he looked like a natural born premiership player. After the game I listened to a few interesting comments which underlined my observations that the spectrum of opinions of fans watching exactly the same game is vast; "I don't know why Bobby played Jenas instead of Acuna, he was out of his depth" and "What was he thinking bring on Lua Lua, he was never going to do ought in a game like this"

Personally I thought we done OK and couldn't fault Sir Bob's selection, like Lolo said "we don't have a Viera in midfield"

There are some fans who haven't got a clue what they are talking about. I heard one bloke say Speed was the best player on the park.

Jenas was EASILY our man of the match yesterday and was in no way out of his depth. For a 19 year old to do that well is absolutely remarkable.

Two very good games for Janas, Bobby will need to use him sparingly though, yesterday was a hard game and to be honest Janas must be knackered already. Viera is the best midfield player I've seen in terms of controlling a game. Gazza may have had more skill & a better eye for a pass but was nowhere near as strong.

The thing is, Arsenal scored fairly early on, making it easier for Vieira, as he never had to cross the half way line again.
