Please pray for St. Paul Community A.M.E church, in Bozeman, Montana

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

When our church was meeting in a Mexican restraunt, you prayed for us. Before we officially became A.M.E you prayed for us. And now I am asking for your prayers again. We are excited to be A.M.E and a multi-cultural church. I look at our church officers, African-American, Mexican, Native American, Bi-tacial and irish. All coming together to glorify the Lord. This week we are beginning an Evangelism campaign. We are not passing out tracts, or hiring someone, or placing adds, we are basing our campaign upon what happened in the book of Acts. We noticed the disciples got together regularly and prayed. And the Holy Spirit fell upon them. Over 3,000 people came to know Christ. We as a church are praying, meeting in homes to pray, taking time from work to pray and we are asking our discussion board family to place our church on your prayer chains, and if you would like to join us email me and we will do the same for your church. We are excited, and filled with the Spirit, and want to share the good news with all in our community. If you are praying for us, let us know. Again thank you for all the support you have given to St. Paul Community A.M.E church. P.S we will be planting another A.M.E church in Missoula, Montana a town of 90,000. The Bishop has said yes!

Pastor Paris thank you for your prayers. You are a powerful prayer warrior. I know we would not have gotten this far without your prayers and encouragement. You have been a wonderful mentor to our church. By the way we started our campaign yesterday and a family of five joined the church.

Several months ago I received a prayer request from someone saying he was not A.M.E but that he heard that the A.M.E church is a praying church. I was so touched and I can honestly say in the short time that I have been A.M.E I can say that I have experienced this myself. That is why I have asked all of you to pray for our evangelism campaign. Everything we have done in our church has been rooted in prayer. During the worship service, everyone has a prayer partner and you and your partner pray for one another during the service. Prayer is a spiritual principle, and when I ask God what to do regarding our church he steers us to the book of Acts. One of our trustees called me last week to tell me that she had bought a Bible study with curriculum and video on the book of Acts for youth group. I just laughed and said "Oh, God has been talking to you also!" I cannot put into words how excited I am about our evangelism campaign based on the book of Acts. I hope other churches will join us, and thanks to all of you for your prayers. My congregation is made up of people who have never attended church, this is their first experience with a denomination. I always read your good wishes to them, they are so proud to be A.M.E because of how you keep us in prayer. I feel the A.M.E denomination is on the verge of a world wide revival. I love you all so much. And thanks for your prayers of healing, I was back in church yesterday, preaching from a wheel chair. Praise God!

Rev. Denise,

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. We thank Almighty God that you are back at the sacred desk. You along with your church family are in our prayers. God is working a work that if He told us what's about to happen, we wouldn't believe it. Ah, yes! I'm looking for a miracle, I'm expecting the impossible and in God's own time it will happen.

I thank God that He's using His people to teach and reach the saved and unsaved. He's showing us that we must be equipped with the Word in order to be about the business of winning souls. Because "He is not willing that any should perish," the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ must rise up and go into all the world teaching ...

Our church (St. Paul AME) has begun the study of the Book of Acts, as well. We're asking for your prayers as we make this journey to equip God's people for the work.

God's blessings upon all of you.
