When I Am King

I seem to have a knack for locating f*cked-up webcomics. This is the touching story of a man and his quest for underwear, set in a pseudo-Egyptian world and told entirely in visuals. If you like it weird, freeform, and straight from the Id (and what Flux fan doesn't) check this out...

Holy shit. I'm speechless.

Speaking of which, I finally saw A.I. Words fail me. That was the creepiest thing I have ever seen ever.

You just now saw it? I do really like that movie. Check out the discussion on the film forum about it, I'd be curious to hear what you think. Here is the discussion.

Aw, the v first strip is *so* cute! Is he a robot, or does he just look like one? (Demien, not Haley Joel Osment)

Anyway, if you like webcomics, and you like messed up, Men In Hats and Sinfest are on Keenspot, and they fit the bill nicely. Sinfest has a heck of an archive to go through, but you don't really have to. Men In Hats, however, is relatively easy to breeze through. Hasn't updated in a while, though.

Aw, thanks! I still am addicted to those things.

Unfortunately Sinfest is a little conservative for my tastes (in terms of it's humor, not politically). Men In Hats is pretty amusing though. Any comic with travelling salesmen in the desert gets at least a mild thumbs up. I love the "Johnny Hates Life" strip (skewering Donnie Darko).

By the way, having seen certain parts of it again, I have to take back most of my vitriol about AI... creepy and off-putting, yes, but far from a bad film.

And you thought dying ONCE per episode was harsh!
