A message to you all!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : North Carolina Raves : One Thread

I have listened to techno for years now (my soul is still moved by every new beat), and have just recently had my first glimpse into the rave culture fist hand. I dearly believe in the ideals of true acceptance and total love for each other that the ravers I met extend to all on a daily basis. I have used e a number of times and in a truly objective sense believe it to be beneficial to the mind and spirit of the responsible user. It has made me look at life's every moment as a new chance to make the world a better place. I see a bright new sunrise on the horizon. One that will meet all ravers at the dawn and shower this long lasting night of war and conflict with a yellow sunshine of pure Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. Plur can truly be the future of the world if everyone were exposed to the mindset of you wonderful "Children of the night"(a song - Download it!!). In fact that song is what made me write this. I truly want to express my gratitude to all of you who selflessly advance this cause. You may not have done anything for me directly, in fact I’ve never even met you, but each one of you have made possible this bright new future, and in this way we have known each other for all of time. It is both your and the world's destiny to envelop the world into the sunshine of love. Do not stop. Do not give up. Don't let authority suffocate you into conformity, for your cause is the just and fare betterment of every man woman and child on this giant globe of confusion. For I assure you as a non-biased outsider of the culture that you are helping. You’re helping me if no one else. But I do NOT wish to be an outsider for a second longer. I want to know the people I speak of. I want to be there to help them through the long journey ahead to freedom. I want to stand next to you, as one of you, when the very first rays of that golden sunlight shine upon the world to signify a new day. A day where love is free and freedom is love.

There is no better place to start than here, so whoever doesn’t think I’m just a “stupid poser”, as I have read a number of times on this message board, please e-mail me. Guide me. Teach me. I truly want to become a part of this future.

WOW! You really nailed it girl. I truely agree with you totally. Personally I do not need the drugs to enjoy a good beat, plus it saves me some seratonin in my brain. In the past, I've been in every scene, Old Rock, Blues, Hip Hop and (even tho I don't like to admit it) death metal and when I was introduced to techno, breakbeats, 2- step and dnb, I was absolutely blown away. Now that I have been "in the scene" for about 2 yrs now, I have never been happier. My life is so full right now because of music. I've had a long and suffering life in my past, but I have learned to let it go and worry about the future and these talented DJs out here (including vocalist) have really touched my life and taught me how to be a happier person. I love all you kandi kidz, jungleheads, breakbeat junkies and just plain ole happy people. This scene WILL be around forever. So let's try to keep it positive people and quit trying to impress other people and just feel the music.

Life is like a dance lesson, everybody slips but you pick up and keep on dancin!

If music was a man, I'd be IN LOVE <3!

SPLURG (Spread Peace Love Unity Respect and Gratitude)

MUAHZ! Jen :)
