I have heard rumours that Otis, one of the biggest companies in the world is in real trouble in the UK. Rumuor has it that the Recently formed management structure has totaly got it wrong and is treating its enginners like dirt. This has lead to loyal workers leaving and that the management are setting it up for a Franchise sell out! any comments?

yes it seems there is a problem. but take over? the new management from what i have has put the company in a backwards tread with there aggressive approach.

and the guy that stuffed it up is now Managing Director here in Australia, doing EXACTLY the same thing here.....Otis Australia USED to be a good company to work for

Oh...I think you have to look at Baker and Harvey...fought like cats and dogs for year..Harvey gets shipped off to AU and then what...hows he doing there?

How do you think hes doing.....why has the supervisor I work for 2 years ago have approx 12 people working for him...now has 6 people doing the same amount of units....there are people on this site who have worked for him and have posted an answer to the original question ...they should know what hes like....one of the other lift companies here is nicknamed OTIS 2 as there are so many ex OTIS employees working there now. Call rates are through the roof everywhere....one thing they are FINALLY doing is actually talking to people leaving and trying to get them to stay....but in OTIS (Australia dont know about anywhere else) you know what...people go anyway because they cant trust OTIS....(they customers dont either)
