Ole Jake is all tore up over Sammy, the pig, bein out yesterday and follerin every step Jake took--he's a nervous wreck tonite. Sammy is shut up in his barn and ole Jake is a lookin. Rekon he figgers sammy'll get out and start doggin'm again. Griz is all upset too. He was runnin loose but couldn't get in the pen with old Jake and Sammy last evenin. The electric fence wire that encloses ole Jake and the hog--well---Griz is deathly afeered of it. Seems he got "bit" last year by it. He was later in that pasture with ole Jeep, Jake and the guiniea and failed to get out before ole Jeep closed the "gap" wire. Griz spent the night out in the pasture!!

After aggravetin ole Jeep a mite it was time to come home and start workin on that Iced Tea I has stashed in the fridg. Lil Dumplin don't approve of me drinkin out of'a quart materjuice can but --I'm an old dog and ya'll can't teach old dogs new tricks. She did "refine" me enough after we were hitched--I no longer eat with a huntin knife for a fork! Progress? I don't know but I don't cut my big old ugly nose anymore.

Saw mr. skunk again tonite--on my back porch! He eat so much chik'n skin, fat and bones last eve'n that I almost swear, he was glassy eyed! Smellin'm almost made me glassy eyed! Him and old Calvin are friends I rekon. They just look at each other like long lost friends.

Took a walk today about noon--out in my field, down by the waterway, briar patch where deer bed down, back across the field on the way to the house. Found several "indian" rocks which I picked up and carried to the shop. Our homesite sets on an old Indian encampment. Lots of indian tools layin around in my yard and field. I had heard of an indian burial ground in this area. We don't tell anybody because we don't want it disturbed. Both Lil Dumplin and the old fat man have indian blood in us. She's claimin Cherokee and me Choctaw.

Jesus Christ won't care one bit WHAT kind of blood is coursin throughout our veins just as long as His stamp is on us. We're waitin and watchin for His appearing. Are you? old hoot. Matt.24:44
