greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Sorry Chuck, I really don't know where to put this thread. What category. I'm having all kinds of problems finding old threads that I have seen before so I know they exist. Have tried the Ctrl F and all. What does a person do when they just cannot find the thread? Re-post and start from scratch? I have 12 threads right now that I'm looking for. I DO often find some of them but today just isn't my day I guess.

Some of the oldest ones seem to have disappeared, but you can find them by doing a google search on this site. If you posted on it, type in your e mail addy on the search bar- uh, if you posted a lot, the results may be overwhelming...

I know, I know. When you find a thread that interests you and you want to keep, click on FAVORITES, and ADD. I have a folder Countryside, in my bookmarks, where I put the threads. Then you can just click on those threads and pull them right up. Once you're done with it, just right click on it, and DELETE it from your folder. TA DAH.

If you would like to know how to make your favorites more useful by arranging them and having them catagorized and sub-catagorized, you can click here to see a topic that appeared in the Cooking and Crafts Forum that you might find helpful (next to last response).

Thank You for your responses. I guess one of my problems is that this is a community computer. I do not own the computers I use to access this site. I have to find an available computer whenever I go to the city and have had a variety of computers to work on. I don't think I can do the "favorites" on these computers. I do not have a "favorites" key that I can see here.

Diane......how do you download ""links""? I do "save" many of these threads by clicking on "file"-top left corner, but when I look at it on my computer at home it doesn't tell me how to go back to it here on the forum. My home computer is not hooked to the internet...but I sure wish it was! I don't go to the city that often either to use a library computer but I do every chance I get! Sorry, I'm not that computer literate yet but AM slowly learning. Thanks for your assistance.
