Birthdays!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A Country Singletree : One Thread

Tomorrow, March 8th, is my 44th birthday! Being a single mom I really don't have any great expectations for this day. I doubt my kids will realize what day it is. That's O.K., I don't want them to feel guilty if they haven't thought of it.

It would be fun to have birthday wishes from all of you though!!

I've been sort of quiet lately, I got a job on Monday :) For those of you who don't know me, I have been unemployed for the past two months. I finished my BS in Applied Psychology/Human Services this fall, had my internship and have been looking since. Where I live there aren't many jobs thet come up in my interest area, and I admit it I was being stubborn. I wanted a career not a job. Well last Friday I was offered two jobs. When it rains it poors! The one I wanted and took is with Upper Mississippi Mental Health as a Family Mental Health Practitioner. So far I love the people I work with and am excited to get started with my clients. It will be a few weeks before I'm let loose on the families. But this is a good start with loads of room for growth and possible support for grad school.

That's all from the north woods. I hope to get acclimated and back into the swing of things soon.

Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. . . Well, you get the idea. Have a very happy birthday and congrats on the degree and the new career. Too bad you're not closer. We probably would have been dealing with the same families. - Sheryl

Susan,

Of course the kids will forget and yes, it is a mothers duty to make them feel guilty! Happy Birthday.

Susan, Hope you had a swell birthday. I wish I was 44 again(didn't that make you feel better). You know that hobbits give presents to others on their birthday. You might try that with the kids. Congrats on the new job!!!!

Happy belated b'day Susan. You have a good name...I named my daughter Susan.

Holding out for the right job was wise...I just got my teaching license last year and really enjoy getting off of the farm to do a bit of subbing work....
