Goal for the week.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I wonder if anyone else on this forum participated in the quilt block swap? I did and I can't wait for my blocks to come back. The problem, is that my sewing room is a mess! (I really need to take on another project.....)

When I clean out my children's rooms, I went through thier clothes to give away any they had outgrown. This left my daughter with a very skimpy wardrobe-esp in the pants dept. She keeps growing up, but not out.

So, my challange to myself this week is to see what I can use in my sewing room to make her some new things and also to clean up my room, so that when my blocks come in I can work on them with a clear conscience. I'm terrible to buy fabric (like at a really good sale) and stash it somewhere and not get around to making it into the project I bought it for. (I'm sure none of you do that!) Also, because people know I sew, I get a fair amount of "donations" and being a tightwad/packrat I'm loath to throw it out.

Sounds fun Kelly. I also love to save fabric, it is so hard to get rid of any of it. My daughters are also tall and thin, but they like to wear jeans, which my talents do not support making!
