I need to find critical analysis on the use of basic human emotions in any of Poe's works, such as love in "To Helen", and sadness in "The Raven".

john, i don't know exactly where u can find critical analysis of poes work, but analyze it yourself. but i know this poe once was quoted for saying that the most poetic thing was the death of a beautiful women. in anna belle lee he expresses love, there is a short story poe wrote about a man who killed a man and and put him under the porch, he swore he could hear the heartbeat till he went crazy and turned himself in. it portrayed fear, and the raven showed endless sadness. just read a passage or two and tell how he reveals an emotion.
