Depending on the Quality and type of breed. It takes NZW 8 to 12 wks. Most of my fryers reach 4lbs at 8wks. 5lbs at 10wks.

Depends on the breed, strain, feed AND location! Rabbit in the warmer, southern climates tend to have slower growth rates and will eat less. If they don't eat, they don't grow.

Rabbits in the colder, northern climates tend to eat more in order to produce the energy needed to stay warm instead of using that energy for growth.

In an area known for mild climate and a good feed formula, my NZW's were hitting 5 lbs. by 8 weeks of age.
