Please advise price of digital camera Nikon Dl and DlX from store in Singapore. Can these cameras be purchased in Singapore and shipped back to the UK

Yes they can, but you may regret doing it. I live here and have ad some experience with the matter.

Digital cmeras, Nikon included have warrantees good good only in country of original purchase. I bought one here and was told when I needed warrantee work, that I was lucky I bought it here and not in Canada, because the warrantee would NOT have been honoured.

The taxes in the UK may well up the price quite a bit from my observations.

I can't recommend anything other than do not buy it here and have it shipped. The prices here are no better than in NYC.

Ok I sort of agree, but why not buy the camera through the cheapest official source,in case it goes wrong but the lenses etc in Singapore? Certainly as far as Canon stuff goes they honour warranties worldwide.
