Spring has sprung in the North East. At least in my yard anyway. Thiis morning I had three crocus open and can't wait for the rest of them. What a day-brightener.

I noticed this morning that the lilac slips are forming tiny buds! Last night we heard the spring peepers. Its coming!

We had our first crocus open today also. I just really, really REALLY, needed that. Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny also and I plan to spend the whole day out in the woods and gardens!!!

The sandhill cranes are back! My parents and I have been keeping track of when they arrive each year here in Central Wisconsin. Its always been between March 9th and March 11th. I first heard them this morning but my mom says she heard one last night (the 11th). By fall we'll be sick of them, but its a welcome sound right now!

Out here in Eastern Kansas the weather has been HEAVENLY! I spent yesterday in the garden with trellises and stakes, and am planning to hit the garden again as it is supposed to be 65 degrees this afternoon---Hehehehehe!!!!!!!!! Of course, the weather changes this weekend, but right now I don't greatly care!!!1

I don't remember having a winter lol. The weather here has been so mild I don't think we had more than 2 weeks total of really cold temperatures. We only had 3 or four snow falls and they didn't last very long. It was a blessing to me because of transportation problems. We have moved closer to every thing now so it is a lot easier. I love spring. I like lying at night listening to the rain and thunder.
