Falconry

Does anyone know anything about falconry? Cale is interested in it, and wants to see if anyone knows how to get the licensing, and how much they are selling for etc... any inof would be appreciated, or sites if you know of any.

Don't know a thing about it but I have about 40 pigeons I'll send him to use for practice if he gets some falcons. (Just kidding) Sorry, that wasn't much help. :D

I was of the opinion that they outlawed the sport. It is just in my memory somewhere that only injured birds could be used. It comes from a hawk I found dying in Iowa and I called the game people and they offered to come and get it but told me to leave it dying that I could not take it anywhere.

There is now a licensing program, from what we have read on the internet. He just wanted some info from someone who has been through it.

You might want to call the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Law enforcement division. I am sure they have an odnr website that can help you with that. I know more about Indiana laws than I do Ohio. I am pretty sure they are similar. I work for the department of Natural Resources so let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
