This is quite a common fault, from memory check the following: Brake and Brake Switches, 1M and 2M microswitches,1CR UX and DX relays. The fault normally indicates that UX or DX has not pulled in, so check everything in these circuts (I've only ever worked on units with direct drives so I'm not sure if this also applies to units with MG sets) Hope this helps.
