Soop and a donut question. I'm starvin fer donuts!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

Into a 6 or 8 quart iron kettle half full of water -dump one head of cut up cabbage, can of maters, 3 large or 5 small onions, 4 stalks of celery cut up, 3 cans of green beans and 3 deboned chicken 1/2 breasts. Boil the daylights outta this stuff. This is the so called "chick'r gruel" of ole hoots. It's low in fat, carbo's and other "bad" stuff for ya'lls ole tickers.

Now, if'n ya'll wanna know how to build the "hoot donuts" of yesteryear [not the one on cs archives] just say the word. Mom writ out the buildin directions for me last week. The only thing I want in return is for somebody to send me some of you'rn and let me judge'm a mite. Boy, I jest thought--what if 200 people send me samples??? Oh well---we have room in the deepfreezer for'm--that is the few that survive the first day of testin!! Be cool dudes/dudettes! old hoot gibson. Matt.24:44

Hoot, the way the mail's been going lately, your donuts would likely be covered with green hair by the time they reached you. Now what would Little Dumplin' say if she came home to a freezer full of green donuts? Hmm, guess you could always tell her you were stockpilin' penicillin for emergencies.

I don't know about the donuts but I love the sound of that chicken stuff. I might make that for dinner tonight.
